Tm: subjects of the following pages have been taught orally at the Military Academy for many years; but, for the saving of time, and the convenience of the pupils, it has been thought best to clothe them in a printed dress; and as, in this form, the volume might be found useful in other schools, as an appli cation of descriptive geometry to practical questions, it was also thought well to have it published.
