Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents Latin grammar and syntax from a classical perspective, akin to the methods employed by Latin teachers in centuries past, however it is completely independent of any external source, and so stands alone. It does not require the use of a Latin reader or other texts, but offers vocabulary and constructions. The grammatical explanations are clear and concise, and the examples are taken from Latin authors, ranging from Cicero and Caesar to Ovid and Virgil. Unlike many Latin language materials, which start with the alphabet, the basics of pronunciation, and long verb paradigms, this book dives right into practical grammar, introducing both declensions and conjugations within the first 25 pages. The authorās goal is to provide a direct path to reading Latin literature. With more than 30 comprehensive lessons and detailed explanations of the rules of Latin grammar, this book is a great resource for both students and teachers.
