Excerpt from Assyrian and Babylonian Letters, Vol. 6: Belonging to the Kouyunjik Collections of the British Museum
The present Part contains the texts of one hundred and twelve tablets on which the names of the scribes have been broken away. Of these texts thirteen have been published by winckler, one by johns, and one in IV R. Even if the plan of publication had not -made it necessary to republish these texts, I think that the many changes in readings and the additions would be sufficient justification for doing so.
