Synopsis
This book compares mechanically drawn cotton samples to samples cut from the same bales after being packaged at the gin. The results of the study indicate that, on average, mechanical samples drawn during ginning were just about as reliable and useful for merchandising purposes as cut samples taken immediately after ginning. This book is a valuable exploration of a method for improving cotton sampling.
