This book studies the reasons behind the shifts seen in farm real estate values over the past five years in the United States, drawing on the knowledge of correspondents from all corners of the nation. The results show that the national average increase in value is 33.5%, with the greatest increases in the South Central and Western regions. This is the highest percentage increase since the U.S. Census of 1900. The study also reveals that low interest rates, immigration, and a growing demand for country property have all been contributing factors to the increase in value. While the book finds that the prices of farm products have been a major factor, it also notes that improved cultural methods have led to increased net profits and higher land valuations.
