What Think You of Christ? Reconsidering the Godhead through history and scripture

This thoughtful work presents a detailed defense of Christ’s divine nature, arguing that Jesus is the Son of God and God from God. It surveys key biblical passages and historical motions that shaped Christian belief, with a focus on how faith in the Word made flesh has influenced civilization.

The author engages modern challenges to Christ’s divinity, explaining why belief rests on historical and doctrinal grounds. The text links the Word’s eternal generation to creation, life, and light, and it traces how this understanding has shaped Christian ethics, marriage, family life, and social unity. It frames faith as a rational response to compelling evidence, not a retreat from reason.

Learn how the Word’s preexistence and creative power are presented in Early Christian teaching.
See how belief in the divine Son leads to a moral vision for family life and social harmony.
Explore the historical conversation with Modernists and Rationalists, and the author’s responses.
Understand why the author views faith as reasonable devotion grounded in Scripture and tradition.

Ideal for readers of classic theological argument and those curious about how early Christian doctrine connects to everyday life and society.
