Synopsis

A boy rules the wilds and learns what it means to grow up.

In this lyrical tale, a ten-year-old boy named Matthias lives at a quiet farmstead, king of the birds, beasts, and fields that shape his days. Guided by a wise elder and a true sense of wonder, he steps from childhood into a larger world filled with memory, risk, and imagination.

With a rich blend of rural life, folklore, and quiet adventure, the story follows Matthias as he discovers the value of loyalty, courage, and reverence for nature. The countryside becomes his stage, and every encounter—whether with a sword passed down from an old cavalryman or the funeral hush of a churchyard—sharpens his view of life, death, and duty.

• Experience a lush, immersive setting where woods, meadows, and farm life frame a boy’s imagination.
• Meet a child who rules his world with kindness, curiosity, and a growing sense of responsibility.
• Follow a ceremonial heirloom—the cavalryman’s sword—and its meaning for courage and memory.

Ideal for readers who enjoy reflective coming‑of‑age tales set in a vivid countryside.
