This book is a collection of findings from a Department of Agriculture study on Home Demonstration Work from 1923. From 1910 onward, the author began organizing women and girls into home demonstration clubs, with demonstrations often beginning with simple agricultural projects. From these humble beginnings, the author expanded the clubs into teaching women and girls how to improve their homes, eat healthier foods, and manage their households. The author's research has been influential in showing the importance of teaching women these skills, and this book offers an interesting look into the history of the home demonstration movement.
