El Directºr de la Escuela hizo presente a este Ministeriº que, cºn mºtivº de la suma carestía de lºs víveres, era indispensable aumentar hasta quin ce pesºs mensuales la cuºta de diez pagada pºr cada alumnº pensiºnista. Con este mºtivº el Gºbiernº decretó en 11 de setiembre últimº el aumentº de cincº pesºs que debe subsistir mientras prevalezcan las causas que lº han mºtivadº: tºdº induce a creer, ademas, que estas causas nº pºdrán desvanecerse tan pronto puestº que el términº mediº mensual de lºs gastos de ranchº durante lºs primerºs años de5pues dela fundaciºn de la Escue la, era de tres a cuatrº pesos por cada alumnº, habiendº subidº desde algun tiempº a esta parte a cincº mediº í hasta seis pesºs mensuales.
