Engaging biblical analysis and thoughtful reflection on the risen Jesus, the angels, and their message.

This thoughtful volume collects Stier’s commentary on key scenes from the Gospel accounts, focusing on how faith, unbelief, and divine mercy unfold in the early appearances of the risen Lord. It weaves theological insight with careful attention to the text’s structure, offering readers a guided, contemplative look at the meaning behind the words.

Follow the dialogue with Thomas and the call to belief amid doubt and mercy.
Explore how verses about unbelief, judgment, and invitation illuminate the human will and divine judgment.
Examine the sequence of appearances around the Sea of Galilee and the meaning of the final revelations.
Consider how scholars have weighed textual integrity and interpretation in this closing section of John’s Gospel.

Ideal for readers of biblical commentary and devotional study who seek a richly reasoned, faith-minded perspective on these scenes.
