Quae cum ita esse animadvertissem, ipse in hoc cer tamen descendens nihil magis studui quam quid tot in locis obscuris partemque conclamatis, reponendum foret, ut conjectura perspicerem, sed ea, quae praesidio tuta esset cum aliarum rerum tum inprimis palaeographiae; cumque constaret, imperitos omissioresque a negotio suo fuisse libraries Vellejanos, male acceptas ab illis veces ac litteras revocare ad fidem autograpbi, quod inspicere mihi animo videbar. Ld recto an secus fecerim, non est meum existimare; sed illud liquido afiirmare possum jam multa apud hunc nostrum sine olfensione legi, in quibus vel doctissimi olim haeserunt, cum aut codicibus adulteratis nimium tribuerent, aut ingenio et doctrina freti licentius grassarentur.
