Excerpt from Discursos del Excmo.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This insightful discourse from 1898 is a historical account of the speeches delivered in the Spanish Congress of Deputies, a gathering of prominent politicians debating the future of Spain. At the outset of the Spanish-American War, this urgent assembly discussed Spain's national identity and military strategies. The author captures the impassioned pleas, arguments, and disagreements among political leaders seeking to determine the best course of action for their beleaguered nation. The transcripts reveal contrasting ideologies, thoughtful diplomatic perspectives, and the profound moral dilemmas that shaped Spain's destiny during a tumultuous period. This book presents a valuable glimpse into the intricate web of political thought and decision-making that guided Spain through one of its most challenging historical junctures.
