L-lequeathed in 1688 the bulk of his fortune to buy land to be entailed on his cousin, Robert Turner, under burden of paying, 171/er a/z'u, 100 merks annually to each of four bursars at Marischal College, and 200 annually whensoever it shall please God to send ane qualified scholar ofthe name of Turner to he Regent aither in the King's Colledge in the old towne or Colledge in the new towne.
