Excerpt from Colonial Currency Reprints, Vol. 4: 1682-1751
The present volume concludes the publication of the currency pamphlets, of which a list was given in the first volume of the series. It contains the several titles num bered from forty-three to fifty-eight in that list, with the exception of number forty-five, An Inquiry into the nature and uses of money, etc., which for reasons explained in Volume III was included in that volume. The sequence of the chronological list given in Volume I has been violated in Volume IV to this extent: the Account of the rise, progress, and consequences of the two late schemes, etc., follows instead of precedes the Letter from a gentleman in Boston to his friend in Connecticut.
