Hervorgehoben seien die exakten Erklärungen Comums iiber den Zusammenhang zwischen den Endemien und Kriegsseuchen in Lothringen. Es konnte u.a. Der Nachweis geliefert werden, daß die eingeschlossene Bevölkerung von Metz durch [rüheres Überstehen der Krankheit immunisiert war und die das höhere Alter betreiienden Fälle größtenteils die Hinzugezogenen betreten.
