Interiors clean and crisp.Set held in a lightly sunned slipcase with gilt lettering, partly rubbed off, and a dampstain to the heel which has dissolved some of the glue. Birney's poetry won two Governor General's Awards and was acclaimed as one of Canada's top two poets by both Northrop Frye and Al Purdy, who disagreed on the other top Canadian poet.
