Synopsis
The whole manifestation in all its aspects is a record upon which the voice is reproduced; and that voices is a person's thought. There is no place in the world, neither a desert, a forest, a mountain, nor a whole house, a town or city, where there is not a voice continually going on which was once engraved upon it and since then has continued. The secret of the idea of a blessing to be found in the holy places lies in this that the holy Place is no longer a place, it has become a living being. God is omniscient, omnipotent, all pervading, and the Only Being. This suggests to us that the Absolute is Living Being, the Only Being; that there is no such thing as death, there is no such thing as an end; that everything, every being, every particle, has a continuity, because life is continual; end or death is only a change. Therefore every thought that has once crossed the mind, everything that has once passed through the heart, every word that is once spoken and perhaps never thought about any longer, every action once done and forgotten, is given a life, and it continues to live. -Hazrat Inayat Khan

Glossy card cover with just a hint of rubbing to back outer corners and small price label to back, short faint grey line parallel mid-spine also on back (this caused by internal tipped in publisher's Business Reply card on recto). unpaginated prelims+131pp. The only significant fault is previous owner's 1975-dated sig. below title on t.p. (no end-papers issued), mine alas!, otherwise a small brown spot centre fore-edge of text-block. Addresses initially give at 1924 Summer School at Suresnes.
