Excerpt from The Ghost Breaker: A Novel Based Upon the Play
As the two horsemen approached through the deepening twilight a sobbing negro woman peered timidly through the doorway of the Old Southern manor house. There was a call from within.

Paperback. Condition: NEW. Print on Demand. This book takes us back to the American South in the late 19th century, a time when feuds between families could escalate into generations-long cycles of violence and bloodshed. The narrative follows Warren Jarvis, a young man returning home to Kentucky after a successful career in the North, only to find his family shattered by a brutal murder. Driven by a thirst for vengeance, Warren embarks on a dangerous pursuit of the killer, Jim Marcum, a man who represents the last vestiges of the deadly feud that has plagued the Jarvis family for generations. The author masterfully weaves together themes of honor, justice, and the enduring power of the past, as Warren navigates a complex web of loyalty, betrayal, and a relentless desire for retribution. The story is further enriched by the inclusion of a fascinating subplot involving a mysterious Spanish princess, Maria Theresa, who unexpectedly enters Warren's life and thrusts him into a world of intrigue and political maneuvering. The book offers a compelling look at the complex dynamics of family, the enduring consequences of historical conflicts, and the enduring power of vengeance in shaping human destinies.
