Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book concerns the evolution of mind and body together, and the direction and results of the genetic factors involved. It is not enough to examine biological facts and principles. We must also recognize the principles and facts of the mental life. In this book, the author takes up problems drawn from mental and social evolution and interprets them to determine what sort of a theory of biological evolution is rendered the more probable when we recognize both biological and psychological facts. The author's main conclusion is that biological processes are tied to conscious ones, and that in order to completely understand an organism's biological makeup, one must exhaustively examine its corresponding conscious makeup, and vice versa.
