Messrs. E. Harnack and H. Meyer claim to have established the presence of a second alkaloid in jaborandi and in commercial pilo carpine. This new base, which they propose to call jaborine, is said to differ from pilocarpine in its behaviour towards solvents and in its physiological action. Their formula for pilocarpine.
