The author argues that the Gospels were written by superstitious and fabulous authors in the third and fourth centuries. The author claims that since the evangelists did not witness the events of Jesus's life and plagiarized from earlier writings, we must question their accuracy. Even the Gospel of Matthew, which the author believes is the earliest, is not exempt from scrutiny. The author also rejects the traditional claims of universal recognition of the Gospels between 64-150 AD, and argues instead that during the first century there were at least 20 gospels in circulation, and more than 40 in circulation by 140 AD.
