It must be celebrated in the presence of an assembly (anjuman), which can bear witness to the event.1 According to the Dinkard, the drums and fifes the musical band) which played at marriage gather ings, announeetthe marria'ge - tb-th - efipwfip-lefi (if town or village. The assembly that gathers on marriage occasion is called Shahjan, i.e., the assem bly for the queenly bride.
