A harbor patrol of the river from Marcus Hook to Bristol is maintained by the Board of Commissioners of Navigation, under the direct supervision of a Port Captain, appointed by the Board, the Steamer M. S. Quay being used by him for this purpose. Naptha tenders under the charge of Harbor Masters are in operation both in Bristol and Chester. A daily supervision is exercised over the entire Delaware River water front of the State.
