The columns of words should e read! In the first place, from tog to bottom, and afterwards, not only m that order, but from le to right. In putting out the words to be spelled, and in the exercise of pronouncing, the order should be occasionally varied; this W111 prevent a monotonous pronunciation, to which children are prone, and which a similarity of sounds and terminations ma tend to produce.
