Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book analyzes the relationship between recreation and juvenile delinquency in five neighborhoods in Chicago. The study, conducted in the late 1930s, aimed to determine whether there is a significant difference in the participation rate of delinquent and non-delinquent children in supervised recreation programs. The ambitious project also sought to understand whether there were variations in activity preferences between the two groups and to gain insight into the composition of delinquent and non-delinquent groups. The findings of this large-scale study provide valuable information for those working in the fields of recreation and delinquency, and the data gathered offers a comprehensive picture of recreation programs in operation during that time period.
