Synopsis

Excerpt from Notes on the Progress of the Colored People of Maryland Since the War: A Supplement to the Negro in Maryland; A Study of the Institution of Slavery

There still remained considerable discrimination in the law. Thence forth, there was little action touching the colored people, in the halls of assembly at Annapolis.
