E. Pratt's Collection. The large blackish spot, within a light circle, which involves the ear, whence the name proposed by Dr. A. B. Meyer, is very well marked in some of the specimens, whilst in others it is broken up into smaller spots. The lobes of the nuchal crest are detached from one another at the base and may be quite as long as the diameter of the large tympanum dorsal crest lower than the nuchal, but very distinct. Gular scales smooth, Ventrals strongly keeled. Gular appendage very large in adults of both sexes. The largest specimen measures 125 mm. From snout to vent, tail 340.
