In the following pages the author has discussed certain phases of some of the problems with which he deals in his course on Civil Procedure in the Harvard Law School. Emphasis has been laid upon the jurisdictional and constitutional aspects of the problems discussed; hence the somewhat general title of the book. Two of the chapters have in substance already appeared in the Har vard Law Review.
