This book documents the proceedings and discussions of the National Industrial Conference of 1919, a historic gathering that brought together representatives from the Canadian government, provincial governments, industries, and labor organizations to address industrial relations and labor laws. Amidst the backdrop of the recently concluded World War I and the Treaty of Peace, the conference grappled with issues of industrial unrest, minimum wage laws, hours of labor, and the rights of employees to organize and bargain collectively. The book presents a comprehensive record of the conference, including speeches, debates, and resolutions, shedding light on the complex labor landscape of the early 20th century. Through its examination of industrial relations and labor laws, this book provides valuable insights into the evolution of labor rights and the ongoing efforts to balance the interests of employers and employees.
