About the Author

John McClintock is a British national. He is a graduate of the University of Reading, the University of Oxford and the Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique (Montpellier, France). He has studied economics and agriculture. He has worked in Malawi, Ethiopia, Senegal and Sierra Leone. For four years, he worked for the European Commission in Poland on the accession of Poland to the European Union. He is an official of the European Commission, currently working in Brussels.
