Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book focuses on the author's journey of faith within the Methodist church and ultimately their disillusionment with its beliefs and practices. Criticizing the shallowness of their own experience and the emphasis they believe Methodism placed on externalities within the faith, the author ultimately turned towards finding their own spiritual truth within. Emphasizing the importance of the individual's search for inner truth over blind adherence to doctrine and outward forms of worship, this book documents a spiritual journey of enlightenment, the rejection of the dogma often associated with Methodism, and the value of finding the divine from within as opposed to solely from teachings of organized religion.
