This book explores the history of salinity incursion (the movement of salt water into freshwater) in the Sacramento - San Joaquin Delta, and the present-day challenges of managing salinity levels within this critical estuary. The author utilizes data from salinity measurements, tidal flow measurements and other field studies, as well as historical data, to analyze the complex relationship between salinity levels and the Delta's outflow to the ocean.
