A second Edition is now out of print, and in collecting material for the Third Edition the Author has found the formula of the several Hospitals materially changed, many Old for mula have been struck out and many new ones introduced; indeed, the very recent ones are as yet only to be found in manuscript. All the Hospitals have liberally supplied the latter, and he may congratulate the profession in having placed before them all the approved for mula that are in use in the several Hospitals up to the end of 1873.
