Leibniz ist jetzt 200 Jahre tot, aber seine unzahligen An regungen auf allen Gebieten der wissenschaftlichen und praktischen Arbeit sind noch immer lebendig und zeugungskräftig. Dass dies sogar auf dem Gebiete der Metaphysik der Fall ist, versuche ich im folgenden zu zeigen, indem ich die Monadologie, die Leibniz 1714 für den Prinzen Eugen von Savoyen geschrieben hat, Paragraph für Paragraph in die heutige philosophische Sprache umschreibe und im Sinne der fortgeschrittenen Denkbewegung weiterbilde. Wörtliche Anfuhrungen aus dieser sowie einigen andern Leibniz schen Schriften (meist nach der deutschen Ausgabe von Buchenau und Cassirer) sind durch Kursivdmck gekennzeichnet.
