Satisfactory evidence of the birth and former residence of the remaining seven could not be ascertained.
An abstract of a report by the justly celebrated Esqui rol, of the royal institution of Charenton near Paris, con tains the following particulars. The results are the more interesting as this excellent public charity is of a char acter nearly resembling the State Lunatic Hospital of Massachusetts. The report is for the eight years next preceding the year 1834.
Esquirol found in the Hospital at the commencement of the period above mentioned, 492 patients.
