This Committee of Safety, we are told, confift ed, for the moff part, of bfiicers of the Aimy, and: their Creatures, into which our A'uthor fays enlified himfélf for the Public Good: And the firit Thing we find they d1d, was to pubhih a Declara tion from the Army, with the Grounds and Re 1fons of their late pjocecdings. About this Tune, alfo, came'n Letter from General Zl'bnte, 'to thofe Ofii cers of the Army, declaring his Difiat1sfafiion, and of thofe that were with him, on the late Turn of Aii'airs. This was the firft Smoke perceived ofthat Fire, which foon after broke out to fome Purpofe. And lince the Form of thefe Letters (for there were three of them) are yet preferved in a Pamphlet of thefe Times b, in our Collee'tion, we {hail give them at Length.
