Each book, or set of books, appears under the first word of the title, and in cases where changes in the title have taken place, cross-references have been made. As far as possible missing volumes have been indicated both as a guide to readers and to those whose duty it is to purchase or procure the missing parts. A summary under subjects appears at the end as a guide to those who are desirous of knowing what sets are available for the pursuit of any special 'branch of study.
