The entries have been furnished by the librarians in charge of the various libraries, and have been collated and condensed by Miss Grace K. Andrews, Cataloguing Clerk, Public Library. Each book, or set of books, appears under the first word of the title, and in cases where changes in the title have taken place, cross-references have been made. As far as possible missing volumes have been indicated both as a guide to readers and to those whose duty it is to purchase or procure the missing parts. A summary under subjects appears at the end as a guide to those who are desirous of knowing what sets are available for the pursuit of any special 'branch of study.
