Piot n'était pas le seul intrus dans le dispensaire. On présenta deux médecins, sans tabliers, simples visiteurs. M. Portera, chargé de mission par son gouvernement, espagnol, sans doute, ou brésilien, était épanoui de respect devant les méthodes du dispensaire d'antin. Le second personnage n'étant pas étranger, ne s'astreignait a nulle bienveillance.
