Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a detailed look at the techniques of reading aloud. The author begins by addressing the challenges to learning how to read out loud well and offers a system for mastering the fundamentals of spoken language. These foundational elements of spoken language include the sounds used in the words of a spoken language and the representing of such sounds to the mind through written and printed words. The author provides detailed exercises that cover elements, combinations, and words. The book concludes with the author's articulation and pronunciation system which emphasizes elements rather than letters. This system encompasses the theory of expression and derives its rules not from the grammatical or rhetorical forms of sentences but rather from the logical relations of thoughts and the laws of empathy in human souls. The author's approach to teaching these elements and combinations of words has long been a standard in the field and this book offers an opportunity to master the techniques of reading out loud. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Seller Inventory # 9781527646537_0
