His fourth volume of our shilling chess library is devoted to a further selection of games from the New York Tournament of 1889, and will, we hope, prove to be as attractive as its predecessor, which, we are pleased to say, has succeeded far beyond our expectations. As Book III of our series is so intimately associated with the present one we have retained the various indexes of that volume, and embodied them With those of Book IV, so as to facilitate reference.
