This book presents a refined method for mapping and predicting ionospheric characteristics used in telecommunication. Numerical methods previously used by the author to describe these characteristics have been updated and improved. The modifications encompass a more precise coordinate system and a tailored magnetic dip formula to account for irregularities in the ionosphere, especially at lower latitudes. The author also introduces a universal time analysis to eliminate ambiguous polar values, which caused distortions in nearby areas, that plagued earlier models. This analysis in turn created new complications in geographic variations. To address this, the author expanded the number of geographic functions used in the original model to account for variations in longitude. These changes have led to a reduction in the root mean square residual for the new model of 30-47 percent. Residuals, which offer an estimate of the standard deviation of errors, are now close to the level of noise inherent in ionospheric measurements. This marks a significant improvement in the accuracy with which predictions can be made using the numerical maps produced by this book's method.
