The test covered in this report was made on a movement of hanging beef between Lincoln, Nebr., and Philadelphia, Pa. Two mechanically refrigerated cars and four mechanically refrigerated piggyback trailers were tested. Performances were measured in terms of temperatures maintained in the vehicles.
