Andrea Zanoni was born in Desenzano del Garda (Brescia, Italy) in 1981. He graduated in Verona in Medicine in 2006 and specialized in General Surgery at the University of Verona in 2013. During his residency he also attended the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where he dealt with benign diseases of the esophagus and stomach, creating a collaboration that still continues. Since January 2014 he has been working at the Rovereto hospital in Trentino, Italy, where he is in charge of the clinic for diseases of the esophagus and stomach. He actively deals with benign diseases of these organs, looking for the best solution for these annoying and frequent conditions. He is the author of several publications and scientific books and is a lecturer at the school of specialization in General Medicine in the province of Trento. The need to better communicate with patients led him to also undertake the activity of science communicator.
