Collana Biblioteca Scelta di Opere Francesi, tomo XXIV. Lievi segni d?uso sulla legatura; rifilate le carte, il che si nota soprattutto sulle tavole, con didascalie al limite del margine e numerazione talora tagliata. Prima edizione italiana del celebre Méthode d?Équitation Basée sur de nouveaux principes del cavaliere e maestro d'equitazione François Baucher. L'innovativo metodo, apparso per la prima volta nel 1842, ebbe uno straordinario successo e numerose edizioni in breve tempo; l'opera è dedicata al generale Oudinot, aiuto di campo del duca d'Orléans e presidente della commissione incaricata di riformare l'equitazione militare francese. Bertholon (1742-1800), a French physician and a friend of Benjamin Franklin, studied electricity extensively, dividing illnesses into the electrical and the non-electrical. His other works include (I)De l'Electricité des Végétaux(/I) and (I)De l'Électricité des Météores(/I). He also devised a method of foretelling earthquakes.
