Postkartenformat (postalisch nicht verwendet). Sehr gut erhalten. Der bekannte Schauspieler glänzte an Berliner Theatern wie dem Theater in der Königgrätzer Straße (später Hebbel-Theater), dem Berliner Schauspielhaus oder dem Neuen Theater besonders in den Dramen Ibsens, wandte sich aber auch 1912 schon sehr früh dem neuen Medium Film zu, erreichte hier jedoch erst nach 1916 seinen entgültigen Durchbruch. Hartau spielte u.a in Filmen von Fritz Lang, Lupu Pick und in Ernst Lubitschs bedeutendem Historienfilm "Anna Boleyn" (neben Henny Porten und Emil Jannings). 1922 starb er früh auf dem Höhepunkt seiner Karriere. Der in Budapest geborene jüdische Photograph Willinger (eig. Mor = Maurus W. 1879-1943) betrieb ab 1902 (nach anderen Quellen ab 1909) eine Photoagentur in Berlin. Nach Kriegsdienst als Honved-Offizier in der K.u.K.-Armee eröffnete er danach eine der bald größten Bildagenturen Wiens, während die Berliner Firma unter dem Namen seiner Frau weiterlief. Er gilt als Pionier des Bildjounalismus. Als Jude emigrierte er nach dem Anschluss Österreichs nach Shanghai und da er es schaffte seine Ausrüstung mitzunehmen, konnte er dort 1940 ein neues Atelier eröffnen.
