Condition: Sehr gut. Prachtvolles Original-Ganzlederalbum (32 x 49 cm) mit Messingschließe, Deckeltitel und Monogramm MR über den Besuch des Kgl. Augusta Seminars von Martha Roesicke von 1901-1904. 1901 übernahm Jakob Wychgram die Leitung des Seminars. Unter ihm begann eine Reformphase und Professionalisierung der Lehrerinnenausbildung. Das Album wurde von Martha Roesicke als Tagebuch in schönster Schrift und phantasievoll gestaltet. Das Titelblatt ist ein floral gestaltetes Aquarell mit Unterschriften von Mitstudentinnen und Lehrern/Lehrerinnen. Insgesamt 100 S. beschriftet bzw. mit einmontierten Bildern, Briefen, Originalzeichnungen, Postkarten etc., 7 Leerblätter. Großformatige Fotos zeigen unter anderem eine Außenansicht des Kgl. Augusta Seminars in Berlin, Innenansicht der Aula, des Gesangssaales usw., des Weiteren gibt es Gruppenfotos von 1902, der Weihnachtsfeier 1903 und nach der bestandenen Prüfung. - Martha wurde als drittes Kind von Luise und Richard Roesicke (Inhaber der Schultheiss-Brauerei A.G.) am 6.2.1885 in Berlin geboren. Sie blieb entsprechend dem damaligen Lehrerinnenzölibat unverheiratet. Im Jahr 1939 erwarb sie das Haus Kirchberg 10 1/2 in Kreuth am Tegernsee, bewohnte es gemeinsam mit Marie Bland und führte es als offenes, gastfreundliches Haus und stellte es der evangelischen Kirchengemeinde für Gottesdienste zur Verfügung. Zu Besuch kamen u. a. Bischof Dibelius und Kirchenpräsident Niemöller. Am Eingang der Ostseite der Emmauskirche in Kreuth befindet sich eine Gedenktafel für Martha Roesicke. - Bis auf wenige entfernte Bilder bzw. eingeklebte Kleindokumente sehr gut erhaltenes kultur- und bildungsgeschichtliches Dokument zur Ausbildung junger Lehrerinnen im wilhelminischen Berlin.
