All three volumes contain Ardizzone"s in-text illustrations throughout, as well as the dust wrapper designs. Edward Ardizzone was a war artist and a prolific children's illustrator, the first artist to win the prestigious Kate Greenaway medal in 1957. - Minnow on the Sea, following the adventure of two boys trying to find treasure on the Cambridgeshire river.
