Hand-written label on the spine. = The original, signed manuscript of the thesis of the Austrian geologist Alexander Tollmann (1928-2007), being a bound carbon copy with the original figures in his hand, as well as his corrections. This work remained unpublished. It does, however, contain descriptions and illustrations of fossil molluscs, echinoderms, Bryozoa, and other invertebrates, including the crab, Dromilites koberi, (illustrated with a tipped-in photo) later validly described by Bachmeyer and Tollmann. Tollmann's thesis should not be confused with his published work, Das Neogen am Nordwestrand der Eisenstädter Bucht , a work without illustrations. Binding a bit weak, otherwise very good, clean.…
