Die seltene Sprachlehre Carl Friedrich Aichingers, des "Stadtpredigers von Sulzbach", ist aus dessen Erfahrungen im Schulalltag hervorgegangen. Als er nämlich wahrnahm, "daß meine Schüler in der Muttersprache schier so leicht fehlten, als in der lateinischen", begann er zunächst für seine Schüler eine "Anleitung zum Abschreiben" herzustellen. "Lust in grammaticalischen Dingen" veranlaßte ihn, über die Grammatik der deutschen Sprache weiter nachzudenken und so seine vollständige "teutsche Sprachlehre" auszuarbeiten. Als er sein Werk Professoren in Nürnberg und Altdorf vorlegte, erfuhr er, daß soeben der berühmte Gottsched seine "Grundlegung der teutschen Sprachkunst an Licht gegeben habe". Als Aichinger nun erwog, seine unabhängig von Gottsched entstandene Schrift zurückzuziehen, versicherte man ihm, "daß beide wohl nebeneinander stehen könnten: indem in dem meinigen allerdings manches zu finden wäre, welches Herr Gottsched nicht habe". - Meusel I, 36. - Gebräunt u. stockfleckig, fast durchgehend mit Wurmstich im rechten Rand, teils mit Buchstabenberührung; Schlußlagen u.
