Jess à Colmar. Encadrement noir, sous plexyglass. Signée en bas à gauche Albert Bayer (1895-1967), artiste peintre qui fut formé à l'école des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg de 1912 à 1916. Originaire de Lauterbourg, il est malgré tout considéré comme un artiste haut-rhinois car il vécut et réalisa l'essentiel de sa carrière à Colmar. Ses peintures de paysages ont fait sa renommée. Ses natures mortes et ses fleurs aux couleurs vives sont appréciées. Il pratiqua tous les genres de peintures et réalisa de très belles affiches. (Voir Lotz 35 et notice NDBA). Une très belle affiche sur le thème des jardins ouvriers à Sélestat. L'Association des jardins ouvriers de Sélestat (AJOS) a fêté cette année 2025 ses 100 ans. Son président, Didier Couchevellou, a publié pour l'occasion un ouvrage historique sur le sujet : Les jardins ouvriers à Sélestat: un siècle d'histoire, 1925-2025. .
